Holland, Mich., – NET(net), the world’s leading provider of comprehensive IT Investment Optimization Services, has announced the acquisition of xPeerient, developer of the world’s first cloud-based IT Marketplace, focusing on the discovery, evaluation and social vetting of best-in-class IT suppliers.  xPeerient was designed by leading CIOs and technology executives to save time and maximize project outcomes by providing a strategic exchange with trusted peers, and an efficient safe harbor from which to discover and engage IT solution providers for key business projects.  This move will combine and synthesize the considerable digital assets of both xPeerient’s platform and NET(net)’s automated professional services, analytics and proprietary methodologies.  This technology integration will dramatically expand NET(net)’s business model to incorporate a comprehensive suite of IT Strategic Supplier Management tools, that fully underpins NET(net)’s entire professional services model.  The result of this combination is WIN(win), a wholly owned subsidiary of NET(net).

The WIN(win) platform is not only the next step in the evolution of NET(net),  but also the source of a commercial platform that will be established  as the world’s only fully technology-enabled and automated business process for strategic sourcing and strategic supplier management of the IT supply chain.  WIN(win) also provides an IT Marketplace that creates an exchange for clients to find suppliers that have the capabilities they need, and for suppliers to find qualified buyers who are looking for solutions that match applicable supplier offerings.  The WIN(win) platform will be available to NET(net)’s existing enterprise clients and other customers via a SaaS subscription model.

NET(net)’s Founder and Chief Services Architect, Steven C. Zolman, says, “NET(net) has long been known as independent agents and client advocates helping our clients maximize the economic and strategic value of their technology supply chains while evaluating, contracting with, and managing their technology suppliers.  That legacy will continue, and will now be enhanced as we provide technology enablement and automated business processes to help clients leverage our federated market intelligence, benefit from the collective experiences of our subscriber base, and adopt expert capabilities by leveraging our industry best practices, proprietary methodologies, and automated workflows.”

“NET(net)’s clients have frequently inquired about having direct access to our federated market intelligence, strategic sourcing, and strategic supplier management tools, which augment our bespoke professional services.  The combination of NET(net) and xPeerient will ultimately transform our business model globally.  With the WIN(win) SaaS platform, companies will have the ability to self-service and still continue to utilize NET(net)’s IT Investment Optimization Services to Find, Get, and Keep greater economic and strategic value with key technology suppliers.  WIN(win) also enables companies to get to know NET(net) in a different format than previous, which will enhance the client experience and satisfaction,” says Kellsey Le, President and Chief Executive Officer of NET(net).

“This is as close to a perfect fit as a tech company can get,” says xPeerient’s Founder and CEO, Mark Hall.   “A dream for many tech startups is to find a home within a highly successful company who has masterful knowledge of the domain, great clients, and the vision to see that technology automation is the key to scaling and serving its clients better and deeper.  That describes NET(net) to a T.  From our very first meeting, we knew we had the makings of a powerhouse capable of rewiring the way the industry interacts and does business with technology suppliers.”

xPeerient was founded by Mr. Hall in 2009 within the vibrant Boston tech community and backed by Boston-based venture capital firm Stage 1 Ventures and private investors.  In addition to being featured in the Wall Street Journal, xPeerient was also a Finalist in the 2011 Innovation Showcase at the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium, an honor given annually to only 10 leading companies who bring cutting edge B2B solutions to Enterprise IT.   Through this acquisition, Mr. Hall has joined NET(net) as its SVP and Chief Technology Officer to oversee the WIN(win) platform.
