We often base our IT spending decisions on statistics that reference IT spending as going up or down. Two recent articles published by respected firms completely contradicted each other – one saying IT spending will go up in 2009; the other saying it will drop, perhaps proving nothing more than the fact that today’s market is volatile and difficult to predict. As companies continue to look for ways to cut costs, a good practice may be to look inward at ways to work closer with other departments to relieve some of the financial pressure.
